TCKTCK – Bristol, England, United Kingdom
Today, the SINGLE PREMIERE of TCKTCK and ‘MIDNIGHT STREET SICK’ beckons and yes, such interchanging use of capital letters is entirely necessary. For those who don’t know, TCKTCK is a project born from a southwest musician that epitomises the ubiquity of DIY Punk and Alternative and their respective AND far from undulating chaotic determination. Though strewn across the country in a sonic wealth of inextinguishable emotion, from defiant indignance, ire and onward to unbridled cathartic fun, the city of Bristol and the locales surrounding it are beacons forever churning out such creative flair. This is where TCKTCK, created in 2020, are about to be with album number two!
For greater detail, you can find some information on TCKTCK’s FLYING DEATH RATS! – Here. To be concise though, the 9:34 noise monger cut across its original thirteen tracks amalgamating an abrasive set of riff-heavy Hardcore Punk, warped Garage Punk-Rock and unhinged Noise Rock. Now, as of a few days ago, said 9:34 has accosted streaming services as a whole, obnoxiously uninhibited single track. TCKTCK TWO is also set to follow this trend with a maximised fervour. Everything will be left at the end, fret not.
This time around, the brain-parent of TCKTCK, Mel, formerly of Ghost Of The Avalanche and Brasher and now of Rews, BENZO QUEEN AND Alkahest is joined by another host of names on the forthcoming album set for this coming Friday the 9th of September. What a time to be alive!
Hitting like an overdriven face slap of Psych-Rock-twisted Garage Punk that has been ham-fistedly meshed through a sieve jury-rigged by a Noise Rock sculptor, one that is faaaar too focussed on perpetuating their own addictively maniacle destabilisation, ‘MIDNIGHT STREET SICK’ recounts an altercation likely leading to more than just “street sick”. One thing I will say before I hand this slab of a devilishly undignified dirge over to you is that based on I what know, this SINGLE PREMIERE of TCKTCK and ‘MIDNIGHT STREET SICK’ is but the tip of an egregiously serrated (and, yep you guessed it) unapologetically obnoxious iceberg.
Friday the 9th of September is the day where, as one continuous bout, TCKTCK TWO will be unleashed. Also, (un)Rest assured, I can say that there is further collaborative clout en route. However, for now, stream the above on repeat (because it literally won’t stop) and cascade those peepers down the list of those feeding the incoming leviathan.
